Dibujos para Ostende (2009)

Durante los días que pasé en El Viejo Hotel Ostende, un antiguo hotel en la costa atlántica argentina donde tiene lugar la beca RIAA, hice una serie de 39 dibujos en carboncillo y cubrí con ellos todas las fotografías históricas enmarcadas que decoraban el hotel. Los dibujos fueron hechos con la técnica del frottage sobre las paredes texturadas del interior del edificio.

During the days spent in the Viejo Hotel Ostende, an ancient hotel in the Atlantic coast of Argentina where the RIAA residency takes place, I did a series of 39 charcoal drawings and covered with them all the historic photographs that decorated the hotel. The drawings were frottages(rubbing technique) of the building’s textured walls.
