Video filmado en Ollantaytambo, pequeña ciudad Inka en los Andes del sur peruano, durante la celebración del Año Nuevo 2003-2004.
Mientras se escuchan las voces de los representantes recién elegidos del nuevo gobierno municipal haciendo la juramentación de rigor en la Plaza de Armas del pueblo, se ve a niños jugando el “tiro al blanco” utilizando antiguas armas del ejército convertidas en armas de juguete para disparar a muñecos de superhéroes.

Superheroes is a video filmed in Ollantaytambo, a small Inka city in the southern Peruvian Andes, during 2003-2004 New Year’s celebration, in the moment when the town’s new government is taking the oath. Next to the central square where the ceremony is taking place, kids are playing the “shoot and win” game, using former army rifles transformed into toy rifles to shoot supeheroes puppets, while we listen the voices of the just elected town representatives taking the oath in a highly patriotic attitude.
