Punto Ciego (Blind Spot) is a photographic installation formed by 70 aligned images that suggests a journey along the 2600 kilometers of the Panamericana highway, which runs along the Peruvian coast, northward and southward.
The stripped landscape of the Peruvian littoral is an excuse to draw attention to the lightness, the briefness, the neutrality and the distance, in the impossibility of a total understanding of things. The name or title of each image is a number (the number of the kilometer in which the photo was taken and its location north or south from Lima, where kilometer 0 starts).
The vision of the aligned images is important as it delivers again the lineal journey of the highway and the horizon, and the reiteration of one image after the other forces an observant glance to distinguish the tiny and almost imperceptible differences. (click the image)
